Design consultation
We plan the layout together — full wall or full room, and how the panels meet doors, windows, and ceilings.
Felt backing
The felt behind the slats is what actually absorbs sound. It's what makes this an acoustic panel rather than a decorative slat wall.
Solid wood slats
Evenly spaced vertical slats over the felt, typically running floor to ceiling for a clean, continuous look.
Mounting & finishing
Panels are mounted, cut around outlets and openings, and finished at the edges so the wall looks built in.

I handle the installation personally, bringing in a helper on larger jobs, and we walk through the finished wall together before settling up.

Wood tones
Projects in the gallery range from light oak to dark walnut and black, and the options go far beyond that — it depends on what you want and what suppliers carry.
Full wall or full room
One feature wall behind a sofa or bed, or panels wrapping a whole room — common in home theaters for both look and sound.
Curves & odd spaces
Slats can follow a sloped loft ceiling, wrap a kitchen island, or curve around a media niche, as in the projects above.
Material choice
Most projects use ready-made slat panels, chosen for your design and budget. Customized panels or a fully custom build from scratch are possible too.

Area covered
Pricing is per square foot, so a single wall and a fully wrapped theater room sit at very different totals.
Wood and finish
Different woods and finishes cost different amounts, and custom staining is available if you want a specific color.
Openings and cuts
Doors, windows, outlets, vents, and sloped ceilings mean more cutting and fitting around each slat.
Add-ons
LED lighting built into the wall is available as an add-on, priced separately from the standard range.

- Do acoustic slat panels actually reduce noise?
- They reduce echo and reverberation inside the room — the felt backing absorbs sound that would otherwise bounce off a bare wall. They're not soundproofing on their own. If you need serious sound isolation between rooms, I can add extra layers of insulation as part of the project.

- Yes. Depending on the wall, panels go up with a nail gun, screws, or adhesive. Panels installed with a nail gun come off with almost no damage to the wall.
